Lares Trek & 2 Day hike to Machu Picchu

The Ultimate Cultural Trek- known as the “weaver's route” LARES TREKKING AND SHORT INCA TRAIL HIKE TO MACHU PICCHU 4 days is a great choice  - Hike both Lares and the short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The Lares trek is our most popular alternative to the Inca Trail. Yet it is still relatively unknown. Our trek combines it with inca trail  and the Sacred Valley to give you real insight into life in rural indigenous towns, the Lares Trek has the benefit of providing a true Andean cultural experience. The Lares Valley is home to a number of traditional Andean communities that have changed little in the last 600 years and the Lares trek is a series of walking paths that connects them..Then you get to walk through the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu. To trek in Lares is to walk back in time, into a world little changed since the time of the Incas. Each day, as the sun rises over the hill, locals clad in hand woven red ponchos and felt hats, emerge from simple stone cottages to pasture their alpacas in the shadow of the mountains.

Highlights of the Lares Trek & Short Inca Trail

  • Unique aspects of the trek (remote Andes, Quechua culture).
  • Unforgettable experiences, cultural immersion, and authentic experiences.
  • Diverse landscapes (mountains, glaciers, lagoons, and cloud forests).
  • The ultimate destination (Machu Picchu sunrise).
