What You Need to Know About Permits
Strict Daily Limits
The 4-Day trail is limited to 500 people per day (including crew), while the 2-Day trail is limited to 250 people per day.
Non-Transferable
All permits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. They must perfectly match your passport details.
February Closure
The entire Inca Trail, including both the Classic 4-Day and Short 2-Day routes, is closed every February for annual maintenance and conservation. During this period, no Inca Trail permits are available. However, Machu Picchu remains open and can still be visited by train from Ollantaytambo or Cusco.
Wari Expeditions offers guaranteed and flexible departure dates. We require a minimum of 2 trekkers and limit our groups to a maximum of 10 travelers.
How to Book Your Inca Trail Permit
Booking your Inca Trail permit is simple. Follow these three easy steps to secure your place before permits sell out.
Choose Your Travel Date
Check the live availability calendar and select your preferred departure date. Green dates have permits available, while yellow and gray indicate limited or sold-out departures.
Submit Your Passport Details
Every permit is issued under the traveler's passport information. Double-check that all details are correct, as permits cannot be transferred or modified after confirmation.
Secure Your Permit
Complete your reservation with the required deposit. Once confirmed, your official Inca Trail permit will be reserved and your booking process can begin.
