Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Inca Trail - Llactapata - Ayapata
We pick you up at 4:30 am from your hotels to drive from Cusco to Piscacucho or Km 82 which is the beginning of the classic Inca Trail, upon to our arrival our expert chef will cook a delicious breakfast, while you get ready for your first day of hiking, right after breakfast we start hiking on the Inca Trail for 3 hours to llactapata on a slow and steady pace through a path without that much incline and full of many useful and psycodelic plants, awesome views and nice clay and stone houses. Once at Llactapata which is a pretty Incan place, your guide will show you the best positions and places to you take breathtking pictures an also you will have a lesson about the place,the Incan empire and interesting details about the classic Inca Trail . Following We continue hiking 30 minutes in order to reach our lunch spot, lunch will be an exquisite buffet prepared by our expert Incas Path chef, after our meal and 30 minutes of digest time We keep hiking 3 more hours getting little by little on a well preserved original Inca Trail stretch to finally to reach our first campsite, along the way we enjoy observing surreal landscapes of rocky and colorful mountains decorated by the impressive Veronica snowcapped mountain. Upon arrival to our campsite our tent and duffle will be already pitched, We give you warm water in buckets to you wash up, change into some clean clothes and rest after a moderate and beautiful hike within the classic Inca trail then get ready for happy hour with hot chocolate, cookies, popcorn and finally our yummy dinner.

Day 2: Ayapata - dead woma´s pass - Pacaymayu - Chaquicocha
We go to your tents at 4:30 am with a hot coca tea to wake you up, after 2 minutes we bring you warm water in buckets to you wash up your face and wake up in a better way. then you have between to 30 to 40 minutes to pack your essentials and then have breakfast for another 30 minutes to then start hiking over an original Inca Trail stone steps made 500 years ago by the incas in a slow and steady pace for 4 hours to the dead woman’s pass observing in the first half a special microclimate of the andes known as “the tiny forest of the highlands” which will make you feel that you are in the amazon for a bit besides of incredible endemic hummingbirds of the area. In the second half of the Inca Trail way up to dead woman´s pass we will be surrounded by a huge mantle of alpine andean grass and beautiful sharp mountains, once at dead woman’s pass We take pictures and celebrate our target giving thanks to Pachamama ( mother earth) and Apus (mountain gods) so we will perform an Andean ritual to show respect. Following We hike 2 hours downhill over stone steps to our lunch spot, along the Inca Trail way We enjoy a fantastic Andean scenery decorated by a 50 meters waterfall. Our lunch will be a delicious and nutritious buffet prepared by our expert hiking chef, after lunch We digest for 30 minutes and following We hike 2 hours uphill to the second mountain pass (Runcuracay), along this way up we are able to see deer, spectacled bear and a small Incan site just next to the Inca Trail where your guide will share information about the place. Upon arrival to the second mountain pass we are able to see by first time the outskirts of the amazon forest decorated on the left by the Vilcabamba snowcapped mountain range and on the right the Vilcanota snowcapped mountain range with snowy mountains bewteen 5500 y 6240 m.a.s.l. then we continue hiking 2 more hours downhill to our third campsite getting little by little into the cloud forest, along the way we see one more Incan site which has one of the most outstanding sunsets of the Classic Inca trail, also on this big inca hamlet your guide will share information about the place with you. Upon arrival to our campsite our tent and duffle will be already pitched, we give you warm water in buckets to you wash up, change into some clean clothes and rest after a challenging and impresive hike within the classic Inca trail then get ready for happy hour with hot chocolate, cookies, popcorn and finally our yummy dinner.
• ** Although the second in the Inca trail will be challenging, remember that of the 3 million tourists annulled in Machu Picchu, only 66,000 have the opportunity and courage to experience the Inca trail.

Day 3: Chaquicoca - Puyupatamarca - Wiñaywayna
We go to your tents at 5:00 am with a hot coca tea to wake you up, after 2 minutes we bring you warm water in buckets to you wash up the face and then you have bewteen 30 to 40 minutes to pack your essentials and then to have breakfast for 30 minutes and following start hiking on the Inca Trail for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the last mountain pass called Puyupatamarca, along the way We may see many types of ferns, moss, orquids and an amazing panorama of the cloud forest and on the left side the imponent Salkantay snowy mountain ( a very famous mountain due to the Salkantay Trek) with its 6240 m.a.s.l. as the guard and also the Vilcabamba snowcapped mountain range, all together making a magical and unique view. Once at the last mountain pass we can see Machu Picchu mountain by first time and also the impressive and surreal landscape of the vast amazonian andes, over the mountain pass We will take our team picture; with our porters, chef and guides too. Following we will hike downhill for 10 minutes to the first Incan site of the day just next to the inca Trail, We stop here to be pleased by such amazing views of the dramatical bunch of mountains in front of us also your guide will share information about this incan place too. then We continue hiking downhill for 2 hours on the most well preserved Inca Trail stretch with direction to Intipata which was a massive terraced farming spot of the incas, this 2 hours stretch hike will be in the cloud forest which has for us a fantastic wildife such as birds as the cock of the rock ( the national bird of Peru) the Andean motmot , Chachalacas, the great Andean toucan, the blue faced masked trogon, tanagers, etc.
Upon our arrival to Intipata we will have personally for me one of best views of the whole Inca trail, We will see in front of us the silhouette of the short Inca Trail and on our left side will be standing Machu Picchu Mountain. Also here We give you plenty of time to you connect with nature, do a yoga session and be pleased by the Andean amazonian scenes, after this awesome view we hike 30 more minutes to wiñaywayna where is located our last basecamp and also here we will enjoy our delicious buffet lunch. Then after lunch you have a free afternoon to you take a refreshing shower, but you must know that the shower in cold with water coming from the mountains over 5000 m.a.s.l. Not everything is bad news due this last campsite is located at 2650 m.a.s.l in the rainforest where humidity and heat are very high so if you want to take a shower water temperature may be compensated by the enviroment temperature.
Later at 16:00 pm you will walk for 10 minutes to Wiñaywayna inca site (mini Machu Picchu) in this breathtaking place your guide will give you a souvenir we prepare for you and also will share information about this masterpiece of our ancestors; getting you ready for the big day at Machu Picchu.
Later at 17:50 pm We will enjoy our last tea time full of popcorn, cookies, hot chocolate and also this will be our last dinner . After dinner It is an Classic Inca Trail tradition to arrange a ceremony in the evening to join again our porters, chef and tourists to thank them for the amazing job made. (if you wish to provide tips for them then you can do so at this time). It is recommendable to go to bed at a reasonable time to get up in the early hours of the morning to finally go to our last target: the lost city of the incas «Machu Picchu».

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
This fourth day the wake up time is at 4:00 AM. We will eat breakfast at 4:30 AM and hold on at the checkpoint to be one of the first ones on the Inca trail to start hiking when the park rangers open the gates at 5:30 AM.
We will hike for 1 hour to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku). From here We have fantastic view of the dramatical set of mountains , Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu in all its splendor. We will arrive the Sun Gate by 6:30 am more or less and then we will hike just 40 more minutes hike down to reach the Lost City of the Incas ( Machu Picchu). the closer we get to Machu Picchu itself the views get better. At about 7:30 a.m we will reach the final checkpoint and access Machu Picchu to start our 2 hours private guided tour. After the tour, you will be given your bus tickets to make your way down to Aguas Calientes, and you will have plenty of free time to explore the city on your own or climb one of the neighboring mountains – Huayna Picchu (must be arranged ahead of time).
Your guide will offer to meet you down in the village of Aguas Calientes to delight your last lunch in a local restaurant. This lunch is optional and not included. At lunch, your guide will deliver out train tickets so if you opt to skip this, please arrange to get these train tickets before leaving him at Machu Picchu. Unless you requested for an upgraded train, We will book the Expedition class train departing Aguas Calientes at 3:20 p.m. or 4:22 p.m. This will be a 2 hour ride train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy (based on which train you get), where an Incas Path driver will meet you and drive you back to the city on our van, then we drop you off at the door of your hotel or the closest possible if the is not car access until your hotel.
** Our service is from the door of your hotel to the 4 day inca trail and Machu Picchu and then back to the door of your hotel again
