2.- Short Inca Trail (2 days)

For those who have less time, this route starts at km 104 of the train to Aguas Calientes. After a hike of about 6 hours, you reach Wiñay Wayna and then the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), from where you get a privileged view of Machu Picchu before descending to Aguas Calientes.

3.- Alternative routes that combine with the Inca Trail

There are alternative routes such as the Lares Trek or the Salkantay Trek, which are spectacular treks to Machu Picchu, although they are not directly connected to the Inca Trail.
